Franklin, Tennessee is in one of the prettiest areas of the country. It is just south of Nashville. We had a pretty good weekend. It started off with a bang on Saturday when we took best of breed over a top 10 Weimaraner. Woo-hoo! That was about it for our success...no placements in any groups that weekend. It's been a rough month for owner-handled placements!

This is the LAST weekend for the NOHS qualifying season. After my string of less-than-successful weekends, I was hoping to go out on a good note.
Saturday started off very well, winning best of breed owner-handled and ending up with an owner-handled Group 4. I haven't had a group placement in quite a few weeks, so this was a relief!

Sunday started off with a

More Noodle pictures! I love her!!!

The NOHS 2016 season is over, and this weekend actually starts the 2017 season. We are not hauling for #1 this coming year, Pretzel is going to take a break, just show occasionally, and concentrate on more agility. However, I couldn't resist hitting a show on the way down to Florida for a vacation! I have new shoes, they are ultra cool...maybe lucky?

They ARE lucky! We started off the morning by winning best of breed. Then we went into the owner-handled sporting group and got a

The owner handled group judge said that Pretzel caught his eye as soon as he weint into the group ring, and he couldn't take his eyes off of him. He said he watched him throughout the class waiting to see a reason not to award him first, but couldn't find one.

Sunday went nearly as well. we won best of breed again, and earned a Group Two in the owner-handled sporting group. We made the cut of 6 in the regular sporting group, but did not place. To top off the day, Mark and I bought a zillion raffle tickets and we won a drone! The neighborhood will never be the same haha!
We left Nashville late Sunday afternoon and hit the road, heading south to Goodland, Florida. A welcome break after a long grueling (but awesome) year of dog showing.

Well, this wasn't quite the Florida trip we had envisioned. We drove all the way down here only to find the water was terribly affected by red tide, and the beaches were littered with dead fish. the water was stinky, with tons of dead white fish bobbing around. We took the boat out in search of a beach that wasn't affected. we found a small stretch that looked OK, but then we encountered an area full of dead fish, so we left after only 10 minutes of fun on the beach.
We spent a total of 2 days in Florida, and then headed home early.

Yesterday I had the vet out to check Corky's progesterone level. They called today to tell me it came back at a LOW 1.8. it should be well above 4 right now, and when we checked her late summer she was borderline at 4.3. we are all very worried about the large drop. The vet is coming back out on Tuesday to do a pregnancy check on her. I am trying to stay positive...
