I hate printers, printers hate me!
$100 - that's what a new toner drum cost for my Okidata printer at work. I waited until it was absolutely necessary before ordering one. I install it, and NOTHING will print, the paper just gets jammed. I spent 2 hours with the owners' manual with NO luck. I ended up re-installing the OLD toner drum...it prints again but very faint.
So I decide to set up and install the new printer/scanner/copier I got from my band students this year. After hassling with it, I find out that it requires a special USB cord to hook it up...one of those odd-shaped cords that can only be ordered from the manufacturer. $40 later, I ordered one, I might get it in this millenium.
So I am home now, trying to get some work done. I purchase a one-time printing of music that I need for this upcoming year's percussion feature. I click on the print button, thinking it will give me options. NOPE, it just automatically sent it to my old printer that hasn't worked in almost a year now. Great...and although I try and try there is no way to send another print job without buying the music again.
I give up! I am just going to get a lot of large rocks and a sharp tool and just scribe everything I need to write down. Stinking computers!
